STOP for School buses, It’s the Law

Please remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus from either direction when the red lights are flashing and the stop sign is extended. Bus drivers have been directed to record violator’s vehicle license plate number and report it to authorities.  The penalty for passing a school bus is $100 fine and six points on your driver’s license.  However, that penalty is nothing compared to having to live the rest of your life knowing you injured or killed a child for not stopping for a school bus. Please, for the safety of our students, obey the traffic laws and do not pass a school bus when the red lights are flashing and the stop sign is extended. Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
